2007 Election Information
The 2007 City and School District Election was held on Tuesday, November 6, 2007.
The residents of Hopkins voted for the Mayor's position and two Council Member positions. The Mayor's position is a two-year term, the Council Member positions are four-year terms, and all are at-large positions. View results.
Voter Registration
You may register to vote on election day with proper identification:
- Driver's License or MN Identification Card or receipt for either with your current address
- Previous registration in the same precinct
- Notice of Late Registration that was received from the City Clerk
- By having a person who lives in the same precinct and who is already registered to vote sign a sworn statement that you live in the precinct
- Driver's License, MN Identification Card, Military ID, or passport without current address AND an original utility bill showing a due date within 30 days of either side of the election day

Odd Year Elections
City mayoral and council elections are held in November of odd-numbered years. The Hopkins City Council is composed of the Mayor who is elected for a two-year term, and four City Council members, who are elected for four-year terms. All five members of the City Council are elected at large.
