Zoning & Planning Commission Minutes

June 24, 2008

A regular meeting of the Hopkins Zoning and Planning Commission was held on Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Hopkins City Hall.

Present were Commission Members Tom Jenny, Patrick Beddor, Kathy Newcomb, Kyle Skiermont, Bob Hatlestad, Kate Reilly and Linda Flynn.

Also present was staff member Nancy Anderson.

Call to Order

Mr. Skiermont called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers.

Approval of Minutes

Mr. Jenny moved and Ms. Newcomb seconded the motion to approve the minutes of the May 27, 2008, regular meeting.  The motion was approved unanimously. 

Item: Comprehensive Plan

Ms. Anderson reviewed the procedure for the Comprehensive Plan.  The Commission made some formatting suggestions for the Plan. 

Item: Election of Officers

Mr. Jenny nominated Mr. Skiermont for chair; Ms. Newcomb seconded the nomination.  There were no other nominations for chair.  Mr. Skiermont was unanimously elected chair.

Mr. Jenny nominated Ms. Newcomb for vice chair; Mr. Hatlestad seconded the nomination. There were no other nominations for vice chair.  Ms. Newcomb was unanimously elected  vice chair.

Adjourn

Mr. Skiermont moved and Mr. Hatlestad seconded a motion to adjourn the meeting.  The motion was approved unanimously.  The meeting was adjourned at 6:55 p.m.
