Registration for Hopkins-Minnetonka Summer Recreation Programs begins Tuesday, March 12, at 8 a.m. Visit eminnetonka.com/recreationbrochure to check out the program options and choose from hundreds of activities, including fitness classes, kids’ programs, craft opportunities and athletic leagues. To register, visit eminnetoka.com/register to register online, or call 952-939-8203 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.


Hopkins Empty Bowls is March 12

The annual Hopkins Empty Bowls fundraiser will be held Tuesday, March 12, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. The event is free and open to all in the community. Attendees are invited to make a freewill donation to support the ICA Food Shelf and ResourceWest. Learn more about the Empty Bowls Fundraiser here.


Mayor Molly Cummings Resigns, City Council Member Jason Gadd Appointed as Mayor

The Hopkins City Council recently named council member Jason Gadd as mayor. Mayor Molly Cummings resigned at the March 5 City Council meeting after she was appointed by Governor Tim Walz to represent District 5 on the Metropolitan Council. The council is seeking applicants to fill Gadd’s vacated seat on the City Council to serve until the term expires in January 2020. More information is available in a press release here.
