In July 2017, the City Council endorsed a 20-member citizen advisory board to provide input to City staff as they update the City's comprehensive plan - Cultivate Hopkins. While the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council maintain review and approval authority over the comprehensive plan, the advisory committee was created to provide a wider range of feedback designed to reflect the diverse population and interests of Hopkins.
The advisory committee in scheduled to meet on the second Wednesday every other month from July through April 2018. Meetings will take place at the Hopkins Fire Station and are open to the public, but are not public hearings. The agenda packets for each of the advisory board's meetings are provided below.
