The owner/occupant of an existing single-family dwelling obtains a permit (or) a contractor can also be issued a permit. If the contractor has a state bond then a fee for a city contractor license is not required (Pay attention to the State License "Date" it will change). Insurance is required. The city contractor license form should be filled out so that the city knows who can pull the permit. If the contractor does not have a State Mechanical Bond then a City Contractor License is required (with fee $15.00 per job or $80.00/yr) and Proof of insurance (General Liability and Workman's Comp).
